ESPN has named Phil Dean as its new producer for “Monday Night Football” beginning with the upcoming season. Dean has been with the network since 1992. He has been the lead college basketball producer for 12 years and has produced the Women’s Final Four since 1995. He also has producer ESPN’s Saturday night college football games. Dean will work alongside Jimmy Platt, who was named MNF’s new director in 2019. Who Dean and Platt will work with in the booth remains undetermined. The network has not named an announce team for the upcoming season. Joe Tessitore and Booger McFarland have been in the booth the past two seasons.

Jac Collinsworth returning to NBC after 3 years with ESPN
Jac Collinsworth was emerging as a rising star at ESPN but returning to NBC and being part of its Olympics coverage was too hard to turn down. The NBC Sports Group says Collinsworth is returning later this month. His specific assignments will be announced in the coming weeks but they are expected to include the Olympics, Notre Dame football and the NFL. Collinsworth worked for NBC from 2013-17, on sideline production for Notre Dame football as a student and then as NBC Olympics’ social media correspondent for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. He also was an intern for the network’s late night Olympics show with Ryan Seacrest.
