Beyond a potential spike of new infections, Rhode Island Commerce Secretary Stefan Pryor said his greatest concern when it comes to reopening the state's economy is getting it right.

Pryor said the state is doing a lot of outreach with business to try to make the situation go smoothly.

“If we rush and do this in a way that is messy and ill-thought through and inadequately implemented, we could make mistakes that could cause us to move backwards," he said in an interview.

Gov. Gina Raimondo on Monday discussed a three-phase plan for reopening RI's economy. Pryor is leading the effort.
