The Public’s Radio is a community-licensed public media company and an independent, nonprofit organization.
Our primary source of funding (more than 90%) comes from the communities we serve in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, including area businesses, organizations, and most importantly: the financial support of individuals. Funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) accounts for approximately 6% of our annual operating budget, and we receive no funding from the states of Rhode Island or Massachusetts.
