As Repairs On Collapsed Sewer Line Continue, Warwick Officials Change Traffic Restrictions

The City of Warwick is adjusting traffic restrictions in place on Sandy Lane as crews continue to repair a collapsed sewer line.

All of the upper portion of Narragansett Bay, pictured above, had been closed to shellfishing. However, DEM has modified that closure to include only a small portion along Warwick's coast.

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management has reduced the area in Upper Narragansett Bay that has been closed off to shellfishing to just a two-mile stretch along Warwick’s coast.
