How does sustaining membership work?
As a sustaining member, you sign up to make ongoing, monthly donations that continue until you decide to cancel or change your gift amount. We will automatically process your donation using your credit card or bank account information.

Why is sustaining membership good for The Public’s Radio?
There are a lot of reasons! Sustaining members provide a reliable and predictable revenue stream that we can count on year after year. Your ongoing support gives The Public’s Radio a steady foundation to build on and helps us plan our budget and course for the future.
The more sustaining members we have, the more solid our base of support. It also means less time and money devoted to asking our donors to renew… because sustaining memberships are always current! (This includes the amount of time spent for on-air fundraising!)
Credit Card vs. EFT (bank account)
Your monthly donation can be charged to your credit or debit card or through automatic withdrawals from your bank account via electronic funds transfer (EFT).
Whenever possible, we recommend using your bank account. Fees associated with processing a credit or debit card can run as much as three times higher than processing the same donation using EFT. So, when you choose to give through a bank account, more of your donation goes to supporting the programs you love! And, because bank account information seldom changes, you don’t need to remember to update card numbers or expiration dates. That also means you truly can set it and forget it!
