The Salve Regina University MFA in Creative Writing program includes public readings and “craft talks” with poets, authors and editors. The events take place over the next week on the Newport campus. Plumbing The Depths: Forging Workshop at Coggeshall Farm. Saturday, June 22 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Join local Bristol artist, Kendall Reiss as she works to forge a set of hammers on the antique forging set up in the blacksmith shop at Coggeshall Farm Museum, as the final component of her ongoing project, Plumbing the Depths. The hammers will be used as strikers for a number of bronze bells that Reiss will install permanently into the landscape at Coggeshall Farm Musuem in early June 2019.
