Hey everybody, and welcome to season three of Mosaic! We’re starting a new chapter, something we haven’t done before. We are committing to a weekly show where we continue to explore immigrant experiences but also ideas of race, class, and identity – everything that makes up our living mosaic. It’s gonna be a little bit different than the Mosaic you’re used to hearing. There will be more conversation, more music, more community essays, and more imagining of new futures.

Today, we present you with “Indelibly Alien”, an episode that features a conversation with Professor Robert Lee of Brown University about Asian American identity and history. We also have essays written by Asian American students: Ally, Andrew, Michelle, and Naomi. They came to us through Red Envelope Stories.
