Wednesday’s temperatures are expected to reach 81 degrees with sunny skies, but the National Weather Service says heavy rainfall is around the corner.
Southern New England could see some rain from the remnants of Hurricane Michael all day Thursday and into Thursday night.
Meteorologist Benjamin Sipprell said heavy rainfall will bring a low risk for isolated flooding.
“The combination of remnants of Michael coming up and making an impact on our area and that cold front sweeping through, you kind of get the squeeze of the atmosphere,” he said.
Sipprell said to expect up to three inches of rain.
The National Weather Service expects temperatures to drop into the low 50’s by Saturday.
