U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, a Democrat, is seeking his third term after first being elected in 2006. He faces a challenge in the November 6 election from Republican Robert Flanders.
Whitehouse stopped in at The Public Radio this week to answer a range of questions on topics including political polarization, President Trump’s support in some traditionally Democratic RI communities in 2016, healthcare, and immigration.
The Public’s Radio will feature an interview with Flanders later this week.
