Providence College celebrates its centennial this year with a lineup of famous guests and special events.
The college has scheduled a series of speakers and conferences set to begin in the fall semester and continue through the end of the school year.
Noted speakers include historian and author Doris Kearns Goodwin, Archbishop of New York Timothy Cardinal Dolan, and New York Times columnist Nicolas Kristof.
In September, Dr. Clayborne Carson from the Martin Luther King, Jr. Research and Education Institute at Stanford University will give a lecture.
Providence College was founded in 1917 and is still administered by the Dominican Friars.
