Trinity Repertory Company will honor Oskar Eustis and Laurie Eustis with the Claiborne Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts. Elizabeth Chace, a Providence business leader and philanthropist, will receive the Charles Sullivan Award for Distinguished Service in the Arts.

The awards will be given at a ceremony to be held May 23rd, 2016. The awards honor the memory of the late U.S. Sen. Claiborne Pell, who was a crucial supporter of the arts during  his 36 years in the Senate.

Oskar Eustis was artistic director at Trinity for 11 years, where he founded the Brown University/Trinity Consortium for Professional Training. He has served as the artistic director of The Public Theater in New York since 2005. Laurie Eustis has also had a distinguished career in theater.

Liz Chace has devoted her time and talent for many years to artistic endeavors in Rhode Island and beyond and has been a leader in the real estate business.  She has been a generous supporter of Trinity, as well as a member of the Trinity Rep board of directors for a decade, from 1996 to 2006. She has also served as a member of the Brown University Corporation and was instrumental in establishing the `Women’s Fund’ at the Rhode Island Foundation.
