A judge is slated to hear arguments Tuesday on whether to keep confidential some of the 38 Studios documents. The data dump will includes thousands of pages of documents.

An avalanche of documents from the state’s lawsuit over 38 Studios is expected to be electronically released as soon as later this week.

The Superior Court overseeing the case, Michael Silverstein, slated the hearing to consider whether to keep some of the documents sealed. The judge’s reason for doing that remains unclear.

Rhode Island taxpayers were left on the hook for more than 100 million dollars when 38 Studios went bankrupt in 2012. The release of the court documents may shed more light on how the company was lured to the state.

Tuesday’s hearing might be very short. A court spokesman says no requests to keep 38 Studios documents confidential were filed by the deadline.
