It’s no secret that all of us have been exposed to a steady diet of bold, sometimes shrill and strident, news headlines – whether in print, on the air, or online – about refugee and immigration policy in the United States and abroad. Debate and rhetoric in so many quarters seem to have reached a boiling point. And, the issue has been divisive, in our nation and at state and local levels, including at our dining room tables. It seems so hard to lower the temperature in an effort to reflect on these complex issues thoughtfully and respectfully, but try we must. And that’s what we have an opportunity to do with Baha Sadr.
