Do you support trucking tolls for tractor trailers on Rhode Island highways?

NO I am against trucking tolls for RI – the money spent on the tolls should have gone directly into infrastructure — I am deeply concerned that tolls will expand to passenger vehicles within 10 years. 

Would you support a state-mandated health insurance program?

We have Health Source RI now – at this time it is mandated… I support Universal Health Care or medicare for all. This should be on the federal level – but I would vote in favor of any state wide initiative

Are you in favor of expanding protections against sexual harassment to include domestic workers (such as nannies) and volunteers (such as interns)?

YES – 100% in favor of stronger sexual harassment laws and enforcement.  There also needs to be a database of those accused and woman need to be able to speak to female officer about what happened

If given the opportunity, would you codify the right to have an abortion in state law?

100% Codify Roe Vs Wade – right to privacy should not be subjected to religious intervention

Is the state doing enough to help people who have been left behind by the economy? If not, what additional steps should be taken?

No – the state spends too much on corporate welfare.  Money could be spent better on smaller business’s to increase employment.  Also need to raise the minimum wage and we need way more affordable and micro housing

Does primary education need to be improved statewide? If so, how?

The rate of students who need remedial education at CCRI is unacceptable.  Kids should not graduate to the next grade without meeting basic standards -however, I am against CORE and standardized testing. Teaching vs testing

Do you support RI’s designation as a sanctuary state? Why or why not?

YES- RI should be a sanctuary state.  We are a small state with a great history of religious freedom and welcoming people from all walks of life – the immigration issue has to be resolved federally until that happens I am against any deportations of any undocumented immigrant where they have not been CONVICTED of a violent crime.
