Rhode Islanders are getting a brief reprieve from the snow Wednesday, but forecasters are already turning their eyes towards Thursday. Yet another winter storm is predicted to sweep across Southern New England.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Alan Dunham says light snow could start as early as Thursday morning. “Steadier snow by the afternoon commute and then snow will be likely Thursday night. Not looking for any real big accumulation; for most of Rhode Island: two to three inches,” said Dunham.
Dunham says southern parts of the state including Newport County will likely see more snow; between 3 to 4 inches. The storm is only expected to last one day, with snows tapering out Friday.
