Reservations at local restaurants are filling up for upcoming Restaurant Weeks in Providence. Over 100 restaurants are participating in the two-week long event, which offers special menus at discounted prices.
Anna Thompson of New Rivers Restaurant says the event helps spur business during the slow summer months.
“It is a great opportunity for us to do some community building, and to participate in something that other restaurants are participating in," said Thompson. "And all the staff is excited to go eat out at all the different restaurants. It’s a nice opportunity to have a less expensive meal at a great restaurant.”
Restaurant Week begins this Monday, July 12th and lasts through Friday the 25th.
